Sir Ketumile Visits Lesotho
Former Botswana President Sir Ketumile Masire, visited Lesotho over three days from December 1, 2004, to assess preparations for the holding of the Smart Partnership Dialogue in the country in September 2005, the Lesotho News Agency (LENA) has announced.

After meeting with Sir Ketumile on December 2, the Prime Minister, Mr. Pakalitha Mosisili was full of praise for Botswana, recalling how that country had played a pivotal role in helping Lesotho achieve the peace and stability it now enjoys.

Sir Ketumile said he was asked by the Commonwealth Partnership for Technical Management (CPTM) office in London to come to Lesotho to observe current preparations and meet with the different stakeholders.

He has met with labour, trade and other government officials and was happy that all those involved were on the same level of understanding and preparedness for the Dialogue, he told LENA.

Acting Director of the Smart Partnership Office in Lesotho, Mrs. 'Mampai Lebeko, said the visit served as motivation in the country's preparations for the September 2005 Dialogue.
