Phafane Confirmed as New LEFA President

  Vice-president of Lesotho's national soccer governing body, the Lesotho Football Association (LEFA), Advocate Salemane Phafane has been confirmed as president of the association, to succeed the late former president, Mr Thabo Makakole.

 LEFA Public Relations Officer, Ts'iu Monne, said in an interview with the Lesotho News Agency that the executive committee anonymously agreed at a meeting at the Bambatha Sports Arena on December 8 that Advocate Phafane should succeed the late Makakole, having closely worked with him for a long time.

The new president will attend the Federation of International Football Associations (FIFA) gala  World Footballer of the Year event in Zurich, Switzerland from December 18 to 20, Monne said.

Advocate Phafane could not be reached for comment on his new role as LEFA president.
