PM, Three Ministers at Langkawi Smart Partnership Dialogue

  Composition of Lesotho's delegation to the 2004 International Smart Partnership Dialogue being held in Langkawi, Malaysia during the last three days of July shows the importance the country accords the smart partnership concept.

The Lesotho delegation to the Smart Partnership Dialogue, expected to discuss topics including global security, poverty, development, HIV/AIDS, crime and drugs, will include the Prime Minister; the Minister of Foreign Affairs; Minister of Industry and Trade, Mr. Mpho Malie; Minister of Home Affairs, Mr. Motsoahae Thabane, charged with dealing with crime and drugs and; the First Lady, whose office has taken a special interest in HIV/AIDS issues. As prime minister, Mr. Mosisili is a member of the council of patrons and advisors to the smart partnership dialogue.

They will be accompanied by the Principal Secretaries of Cabinet, the Ministries of Finance and Trade and, Lesotho's High Commissioner to Malaysia, Mr. Lefa Mokotjo.

The theme of the Smart Partnership Dialogue this year is "Towards a smarter globe - reconciling development challenges with global security through dialogue".
