PLMC Prepares for Buddie Premiership Kick Off

 

The newly elected Premier League Management Committee (PLMC) will meet with league teams for the first time since its election in the last week of July, at the Bambatha Ts'ita Sports arena on August 14, according to newly elected chair Tlholo Letete. The committee is elected after a two year term of office.

The new PLMC consists of Letete, from Leribe side Mphatlalatsane, as chairman from Mphatlalatsane,  deputised by Ntoane Lepota from the Lerotholi Polytechnic (Fokothi); Emisang Ts’osane from Matlama is secretary with Mosa Seoli from Swallows as his assistant, while treasurer is Letsie Mohapi Letsie from Majantja and; Pitso Lesia as member.

Letete said in an interview that the meeting would discuss kick off of the new season after the last  ended in June. Though he expected no major changes in the rules and regulations of the game, teams should expected slight changes in the whole system as part of developing the elite league, he said.

Besides discussion of the M200 000 Econet Ezicel sponsored Buddie premiership league, there would also be issues such as referees' allowances and a reception for the newly promoted first division clubs Bantu United and Qalo, which replace the demoted Lijabatho and Botha Bothe Warriors respectively.

“We appeal to all stakeholders to come to this our first meeting with the teams, where we are going to plan the way forward for the new season,” Letete said.

Army team Lesotho Defence Force (LDF) was crowned this years league champions after dethroning  previous titleholders Matlama.
