The Lesotho Football Association, LEFA will hold a two day training workshop for coaches of the national football teams, including Likuena, Mehalalitoe, Under 15, Under 17, Under 20 and Under 23, from January 13 to 14 at the Bambatha Sports Arena. Facilitator Mafole Sematlane told the Lesotho News Agency (LENA) on January 5 that the workshop aims at improving the coaches performance and ultimately the national teams. Sematlane said topics covered would include team building, cooperation as well as the importance of communication in sports. Participants will share ideas on how best they can play a meaningful role in the development of their teams, he said. It is expected that after the workshop, the participants will go back to their respective teams to work on these new skills and in that way improve each team's performance, Sematlane said. The workshop will also be in time to help the national senior coach prepare Likuena for its COSAFA qualifying games against Botswana in February, 2004, he said, adding that the workshop would also be attended by members of the coaches committee, national team managers and members of each national team's technical committee. 05 January 2004 |
