Makoanyane to Play Amajita on December 22

  Lesotho's national Under 20 side Makoanyane XI , will play their South African counterparts, Amajita in an international friendly on  December 22 at Setsoto stadium as part of its preparations for the African Youth championship set for Benin next month.

In an interview, team manager Ts'iu Monne said they were happy that the South African Football Association (SAFA) had agreed to play them after Swaziland's withdrawal last weekend. South Africa promised to bring along the squad that has just won the Council of Southern Africa Football Association (COSAFA) Youth championships.

The team was already in camp at the Bambatha Ts'ita sports arena and  would work throughout the festive season until it was time to leave for Benin early next year, Monne said.

The 19 players who featured in the COSAFA Youth championships have been retained except for three: Teboho Moeletsi, Sello 'Muso and Nkopane Ntoi who are on standby.

 Meanwhile on the local front, Matlama have extended their unbeaten run in the Buddie Premier league to 12 games without a loss after collecting six points over the weekend.

 Matlama beat Arsenal 3-0 on Saturday and completed their winning form by overpowering league challengers Lesotho Prisons Service (LPS)1-0 at the Prisons grounds to reclaim their top position at the Buddie premier league.

 The Buddie Premier league games played last weekend marked the end of the fixture for this year and will resume on January 08.
