P.O.Box 36 CM/CIR/30 28 April 2004 The government has decided to re-establish the Lesotho Post Bank (LPB) under the auspices of the Ministry of Communications, Science and Technology. The aim being to re-introduce basic financial services that will utilise the distributed network of the Lesotho Postal Services (LPS) infrastructure, a move anticipated to create a commercially driven, self-sustaining and affordable banking system. It is anticipated that LPB will in the near future operate an efficient, modern and autonomous financial institution targeting small-scale household savings especially in the rural areas. This calls for competence in the management of such an organisation. LPB is now in the process of recruiting the staffing for the launch of its services. It is against this background that applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill the following position: Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Job Functions The CEO shall have the scope of duties and authority as is customary and appropriate for an office that is the chief executive and management office of LPB and will be responsible to its customers, employees and shareholders.
