LCD backbenches too hot for former MP

Former Lesotho Congress for Democracy Member of Parliament for Mokhotlong, Mr. Lehlohonolo Ts'ehlana, has been formally asked to find another seat somewhere other than the LCD backbenches.

On the second day after the opening of Parliament, Speaker of the National Assembly, Ms. Ntlhoi Motsamai had to ask Mr. Ts'ehlana, whom the LCD expelled  from its ranks for putting it in disrepute, to find somewhere else to seat, the Lesotho News Agency (LENA) has reported.

According to the News Agency, Mr. Ts'ehlana left the House immediately afterwards and had not returned by the time it adjourned.

The LCD announced that it had expelled Mr. Ts'ehlana last month which decision was confirmed by the annual general conference of the Party a few days later. He is reported to have appealed the decision before the High Court.
