| LCD Holds its AGM in January | |
| The
Lesotho Congress for Democracy (LCD) will hold its annual general meeting (AGM)
at the Lesotho Cooperatives College from January 28 to 30, according to
secretary general, Mr. Sephiri Motanyane. The meeting will elect the Party's new executive committee, while the chairman, secretary general and treasurer will present reports on the year's activities. Although a new executive committee is elected every year, the leader's position will not be contested for, as he or she is elected for a five year term. Mr. Motanyane said each of the 80 constituencies will be represented by three members: the chairman, secretary and treasurer. There are also arrangements for every 500 people in each constituency to have one representative. 20 December 2004 |
