King Attends Mbeki Inauguration

King Letsie III and Queen 'Masenate Mohato Seeiso are in Pretoria, South Africa today, April 27 for the inauguration of the third President of the Republic of South Africa and the 10th anniversary celebration and will also attend President Kenneth Kaunda's 80th birthday party to be held in Johannesburg the following day. 

Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr. Mohlabi Tsekoa said in an interview with the Lesotho News Agency (LENA) that the King's visit follows a special invitation made by the South African President Thabo Mbeki during the inauguration of Phase IB at Mohale in March this year.

The King's delegation includes Mr. Tsekoa, Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly Mr. Sephiri Motanyane, Senior Private Secretary to King Letsie III, Mr. Mabotse Lerotholi, Deputy Private Secretary to Queen 'Masenate Mohato Seeiso, Mrs. 'Mampiti Nchape, Senator Chieftainess' Mantoetsi Lesaoana Peete and senior government officials.
