Khasipe  New LRA Deputy Commissioner General

Mr. Thabo Khasipe has been appointed  Deputy Commissioner General of the Lesotho Revenue Authority with effect from  6^th September, 2004.

The LRA announced in a press statement that Commissioner General, Mr. Kevin Donovan announced that Mr. Khasipe, promoted from the position of Commissioner of Customs and Excise, will head the three operating divisions of Customs and Excise, Income Tax and VAT.

Among his responsibilities will be ensuring that revenue targets set by the Government are met and exceeded, Mr. Donovan said.

The Deputy Commissioner General has served various national institutions including the National University of Lesotho where he worked as a Lecturer, the Central Bank of Lesotho and the Lesotho Telecommunications Authority before he joined the LRA in December 2003, the statement said.
