DUE DILIGENCE IN ENTERPRISE RESTRUCTURING

Due Diligence forms one of the crucial elements of any enterprise’s restructuring process. A study on Due Diligence normally takes place at the start of every privatisation or restructuring process. The Privatisation Unit undertakes a study of this kind on all enterprises in the Privatisation Portfolio once they have been approved by the Cabinet. Potential investors also conduct a Due Diligence study at the bidding stage of the transaction.

Upon realisation that such a study is vital, the Privatisation Unit has issued a note on the importance of Due Diligence in an enterprise restructuring programme. This is a contribution to informed debate on privatisation and restructuring of state-owned enterprises in Lesotho.
