Divestiture of  agricultural enterprises - Ts'alitlama, Pony Centre

The Privatisation Unit has announced the   long tern lease of two local agricultural enterprises, the Ts'alitlama Vegetable Farm  in Mafeteng and the Molimi Nthuse Pony Trading and Trekking Centre along the way to Mants'onyane on the mountain road.

In an announcement made on on February 2, the Privatisation Unit said offers  for the first of the two enterprises should preferably be by a Mosotho or local institutional investor whilst the second can be by a Mosotho tour operator/ lodge owner in partnership with a foreign tour operator.

Individuals and institutions eligible to lease these enterprise are invited to contact the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security where they will obtain an informational memorandum on the enterprises, bidding guidelines as well as pay a non-refundable application fee of M500.00.

The closing date for submission of bids is 16.30 hours on Friday 5^th March 2004. Thereafter, all bids will be evaluated according to established criteria in order to select the most competitive bidders for negotiations, the announcement said.
