Death of Former US President Reagan - PM Sends Condolences |

June 11 (LENA)-The Prime Minister Mr. Pakalitha Mosisili has signed a book
of condolences in memory of the late Former United States (US) President
Ronald Reagan at US Embassy's offices in Maseru on Thursday. In his
condolences, the Prime Minister expressed deepest sympathy on behalf of
Basotho and Lesotho for the loss of the former President of United States.He
said the Late Reagan will be missed not only by his family and his country
but by the whole world for his leadership style that cherished peace,
freedom and democracy. The Prime Minister was accompanied at the US embassy
by the Minister of Natural Resources, Minister of Home Affairs, Minister of
Gender, Youths and Sport Recreation, Minister of Local Government, Minister
of Health, Minister of Justice and Human Rights, Minister of Tourism and
Environment as well as Minister of Communications. Other dignitaries
accompanied the Prime Minister were Assistant Minister of Finance and
Developmental Planning, Assistant Minister of Justice and Human Rights,
Assistant Minister of Education, Assistant Minister of Agriculture and Food
Security, Assistant Minister of Trade and Industry and Assistant Minister of
Gender, Youths and Sports Recreation. Meanwhile the members of diplomatic
corps and United Nations (UN) Agencies representatives in Lesotho pay a
visit at US embassy offices in Maseru earlier this week to pay their
condolences. Former President Reagan was born in 1911. He was elected as
Governor of California in 1966 and re-elected in 1970. In 1980 he won the
Republican Presidential nomination and contested for US Presidency that he
won and took office on January 1981. He served his two terms as president.
