Deputy Prime Minister sends condolences to Iran |

The Deputy Prime Minister Mr. Lesao Lehohla has, on behalf of the government and people of Lesotho, send a message of condolences to the President of the Republic of Iran Mr. Mohamed Khatami in the aftermath of the train explosion that killed about 300 Iranians. A press statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said 300 Iranian were killed and more 100 injured in the explosion. The Acting PM conveyed his heartfelt sympathies and condolences to the President, the government and the people of Iran, especially members of the bereaved families. "This unfortunate accident has definitely deprived Iran of some of its great sons and daughters", the message said. 26 February 2004 |
