DIRECTIVE 

 

MINISTRY

Upgrading Of The Moshoeshoe I International Airport (MIA), Rehabilitation  And Maintenance Of Urban Roads
 

Cabinet directed that the Honourable Ministers of Public Works and Transport, of Finance and Development Planning, of Trade and Industry, Cooperatives and Marketing and of Agriculture and food Security should meet and expedite the development, upgrading and revitalization of the MIA.

Famine 

Cabinet directed as follows: 

a)        that all the subsidised farmers, including those that had not yet paid back their dues, should be assisted;

b)       that a harvesting report on the assisted farmers be submitted to Cabinet;

c)        that lime, scattered in many places in the country, should be collected and put in a safe place; while lime, already on the fields, should be spread on those fields.

Proliferation Of Illegal Foreign Traders In The Villages

 

Cabinet directed that all grocery and convenience shops operated illegally by foreign nationals in Lesotho should be closed forthwith.

Cabinet directed that Ministries should investigate the extent of ghost employees in their Departments.

Lesotho Electricity Corporation (LEC)

 

Cabinet directed that the Cabinet Sub-Committee on Industrialisation should meet and review the implications of the LEC’s 18% tarriffs’ increase.
