African Champions League Draw for Lesotho, Zimbabwe
In rivalry that threatens to spill over from the juniors, Lesotho and Zimbabwe are set for a clash of the titans during the second week of January 2005 as the Lesotho Defence Force (LDF) meets Caps United over two legs in the preliminaries of  the Continental Champions League tournament.

The Cairo, Egypt draw id likely to stoke fires of resentment Basotho already harbour against Zimbabweans  after the latter, unable to accept defeat by Makoanyane Xi in the African Youth Championships, lodged a protest with the Confederation of African Football (CAF) alleging that the local association used over-aged players.

The 3 - 0 drubbing was upheld by CAF and Makoanyane XI went through to Benin, 2005.

According to the Champions League draw, the first leg of  this preliminary round will be played in Harare, on the weekend of January 15 to 17 with the return match played at Setsoto stadium a fortnight later.

Though LDF assistant coach Motheo 'Six to Six' Mohapi said Caps United was like a 'closed book' to them, he did not think they were any different from the Swazi or Botswana teams they were used to playing.

They had introduced many youngsters into their team but these will have adapted into the team by the time the tournament came around, Mohapi said.
