Two Mafeteng policemen arrested for car theft

Two policemen based at the Mafeteng Police Station are to appear before the Mafeteng Magistrate's Court on January 14 charged with car theft. They had earlier appeared shortly before Magistrate 'Maliepollo Makhetha who released them on their own cognisance

Prosecutor Mr. Senthebane Moerane said a resident of Mohale's Hoek, a Mr. Mosiuoa Malachamela, had reported his car as stolen by two policemen on December 9 and three days later Trooper Makoanyane Mahomo was arrested. Trooper Lebohang Motjotjoto was arrested by the Morija police some time later.

The vehicle was recovered abandoned at Ha Makopela by the Mafeteng Police.
