OFDA, World Vision Cooperate in Drought Relief

The United States Agency for International Development's office for foreign assistance (OFDA) visited different districts this week to assess further assistance to drought stricken area of the country.

Interviewed on a visit to Mohale's Hoek on December 8, the OFDA's Mr. Harlan Hale said the assessment follows a request by World Vision International for more assistance. The assessment aimed at finding out the impact of the drought and what more could be done. There were also plans to assist families with seed for the summer cropping season.

The OFDA delegation also assessed the various programmes and projects undertaken through the World Vision's assistance at Ha Ts'epo, Liphiring, Tsoloane and Qhalasi.
