MOGAE EXPRESSES CONDOLENCES OVER QUEEN MOTHER'S DEATH

 

 
The president of the Republic of Botswana Mr. Festus Gontebanye Mogae says he was shocked and saddened to learn about the passing away of the Queen Mother 'Mamohato Bereng Seeiso.

In his message of condolences sent  through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Tuesday, Mr. Mogae said the passing away of the Queen Mother is a great loss not only to the Royal Family, the Government and the people of Lesotho, but also to the rest of us in the region who were privileged to know her. "On behalf of the Government and people of Botswana, and indeed on my own behalf, I convey to your Majesty, the Government and people of Lesotho, our condolences on this sad occasion," he added.

The President noted that they pray that God comfort their hearts, give them strength and wisdom during this difficult period. Many messages have been pouring in since the untimely death of the Queen Mother at Ha 'Nyane, Mant'sonyane last Saturday during the pilgrimage by the Holy Anna's mother's union at the Auray Mission.
