LESOTHO VALUES ITS COOPERATION WITH INDONESIA-KING
 


King Letsie III, says the Kingdom of Lesotho highly values the friendly relations and cooperation that exist between the country and Indonesia. He said, this when welcoming the new ambassador of Indonesia to Lesotho, Mr. Abdul Nasier, and receiving his letters of credence at the royal palace on Thursday.

The King further said he hoped that the presence of Mr. Nasier amongst the Basotho people would further enhance the relations and stimulate the two nations to explore new areas of cooperation beneficial to both countries. He stated that Indonesia has, over the years, been a strong voice for developing countries and a source of inspiration for those who were struggling for freedom. In this regard he expressed appreciation for the moral and material contribution Indonesia has made towards economic and political development of the developing countries including Lesotho.

He assured, Mr. Nasier of the Lesotho government's support and cooperation during his tenure of office as the ambassador of Indonesia to Lesotho and he expressed hope that Mr. Nasier will find his stay in Lesotho most rewarding and a memorable experience.

Mr. Nasier, when presenting his letters of credence to the King at the same occasion,  said Indonesia has noted the tremendous efforts made by the government of Lesotho in keeping political stability and achieving sustainable economic development. He said, the present foreign policy of his country is dedicated to preserve Indonesian integrity and in this regard, they need the support of Lesotho and the international support He requested the King and his government to grant him assistance and cooperation to enable him fulfill his duty as the Indonesian Ambassador to Lesotho.
