CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER 

LESOTHO TELECOMMUNICATIONS  AUTHORITY

 INTRODUCTION: The Lesotho Telecommunications Authority (LTA) was established by an Act of Parliament (The Lesotho Telecommunications Act No.5 of 2000), as   an autonomous telecommunications regulatory body, responsible for regulating the telecommunications and broadcasting industry in Lesotho.

APPLICATIONS are invited for the position of Chief Executive Officer. The position will become available on the 1st July 2003 on a three-year, renewable contract.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Under the supervision of a Board, the Chief Executive is responsible for all operational aspects and the general management of the authority and its employees.

The Chief Executive Officer is also expected to regularly report to the Principal Secretary for the Ministry of Communications on strategic and long-term plans of the Authority .

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

A minimum of a Master's degree in Management, Business, Economics, Broadcasting and Journalism, Telecommunications Engineering or comparable qualifications,

PLUS a minimum of 10 years experience in a senior management position.

SALARY:  LTA will offer a competitive and attractive salary package commensurate with qualifications and experience.
