The Lesotho Council of NGO’s (LCN) will hold a post- election forum to be held at Maseru Sun  Hotel on Tuesday 16 July, 2002.The LCN Information Officer Mr Lebohang Chefa said the theme of the forum is ‘so were the elections: what next’.He said the objective is to take stock of the recent general elections of May 25; giving emphasis to pre-elections arrangements by all election’s stakeholders.

During the forum, he said, a specialist will make analysis on how voter registration, voter education, political campaigns and general preparations towards elections were carried-out.“The assessment will further weigh up the involvement of different election stakeholders such as the media, the civil society, the Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) and the political parties,” he added.

Participants will be drawn from Non-Government Organisations (NGOs), representatives from political parties, principal chiefs, Members of the parliament, the IEC, academic institutions, the media and the public.This will be the first post-election forum to be organised by LCN in an effort to bring together all stakeholders to discuss election-related matters. Other forums will follow in due course.
