OMBUDSMAN TO INSPECT MOHALE'S HOEK PRISON AND HOSPITAL
 
The Acting Ombudsman, Advocate Semenekane Moorosi and his team will tour  the Mohale'shoek government hospital and prison on Thursday and Friday next week. In an interview with LENA, Advocate Moorosi said they would tour the premises and inspect the interior of the buildings and the facilities available at the hospital and prison.
The team will also inspect the kitchens, type of food and equipment as well as the general conditions under which the food is cooked.


Advocate Moorosi pointed out that the inspection would be carried out in terms of section 10 of the Ombudsman Act of 1996 adding that it came about following many complaints from the public about poor services in government hospitals. The Ombudsman's team will also hold public gatherings at various villages in Mohale'shoek to sensitise  people about  the operations of the  Office of the Ombudsman.
