The National Steering Committee for Lesotho Vision 2020 has agreed about a Plan of the collection of the public opinion about Vision 2020 and that such opinions be incorporated in Vision 2020 document to be drafted.

This agreement was reached at a meeting of the national steering committee for Lesotho Vision 2020 held on Thursday.

In an interview, the Secretariat of the Committee, Mrs. ‘Maseta Machai told LENA that the committee has organised a series of workshops, which would be held in all the districts for different categories of Basotho living in the country.

According to Mrs. Machai there would be workshops for the group of leaders of the nation such as the political leaders, church leaders, professionals such as business people, lawyers, medical doctors etc

'There would also be groups of the marginalized people such as the domestic workers, and the students from the different academic levels such as primary, secondary and tertiary levels”, she said.

She indicated that all these categories would be expected to attend these series of workshops, and provide their opinions on how they want Lesotho to look like in the period of 20 years from now.

The members of the committee for Lesotho Vision 2020 have divided themselves in various groups, which work hand in hand with the people in the districts to guide them.
