MAILE'S ALLEGED MURDERERS REMANDED

 


The case in which three people are alleged to have murdered the son of Prime Minister Pakalitha Mosisili has been remanded to September 30 this year. The three, Lesoli Maphathe, 'Mole Khumalo - who is Second-Lieutenant in the Lesotho Defense Force- and Paka Mahao appeared briefly before the Maseru Magistrate Court on Monday 16 September,2002 this week and the case was remanded pending further investigations.

The three are alleged to have murdered the son of the Prime Minister, Maile Mosisili whose corpse was found next or near Victoria Hotel in Maseru at the beginning of this year Khumalo and Maphathe have been remanded in custody while their co-accused Mahao is out on bail.
                 

Meanwhile, the same court is to go for inspection at Ha Mohale in the Maseru District in the case in which a Roman Catholic Priest Father Thabo Monyau and six others are accused of theft. The seven are alleged to have stolen 420 liters of diesel and 44 bags of cement all estimated at a cost of 2.400 Maluti on July 27 this year. The stolen goods are said to have belonged to a company called Feeder Roads Construction which was constructing a feeder road from Jorotane ha Rapokolana to Thaba-Putsoa in Maseru.
