LESOTHO PLANNED PARENTHOOD ASSOCIATION (LPPA) ORGANISES HIV\AIDS EDUCATION COMPETITION
 
The Lesotho Planned Parenthood Association (LPPA) youth volunteers have organised a three-day sports competition in the fight against HIV\AIDS to be held at Sekameng High School in Mafeteng from September 06-2002. One of the youth, Ms Mats'eliso Ts'asane said the purpose of the competition is to enable the youth to discuss issues that affect them and to handle problems facing them in today's environment.

Ms Ts'asane said the competition will be held for students for four high schools which include, Sekameng, Kolo, Makaota and Mathebe, adding that they will compete in volley ball, netball and soccer. She said the students will also discuss topics such as adolescence, teenage pregnancy, behavioral change in response to HIV\AIDS disease and leadership skills.

She further said at the end of the competition, the winners will be awarded
prizes that include sport wear, nets and balls. This will be the first competition to be organised by the LPPA youth in the district this year.
