LESOTHO COLLEGE OF EDUCATION (LCE) GRADUATES TO BE AWARDED CERTIFICATES
  The Minister of Education Mr. Lesao Lehohla will award certificates to graduates of the Lesotho College of Education (LCE) at a ceremony to be held at the College's premises on  August 31.Speaking in an interview with LENA, the Acting Registrar of LCE Mrs. 'Makotelo Motseko said the 267 Graduates will receive certificates in fulfillment of the six Programmes offered by the College. She explained that these include Primary Teachers Certificate (In-service), Secondary Teacher Certificate, Diploma in Education (Primary), Diploma in Primary Education and Diploma in Technology.

Mrs. Motseko further clarified that among invited guests include the Vice Chancellor of the National University of Lesotho Dr. Tefetso Mothibe and the Dean of the Faculty of Education. She said the Government Secretary, Senators, Parliamentarians as well as
representatives from countries having relations with the college such as Japan are expected to attend the ceremony. 

Mrs. Motseko has declared the number of graduates low in comparison with past years having caused by among others, the College's decision to phase out the PTC and STC Programmes so as to advance teachers qualifications by offering Diploma courses only, saying that PTC in-service and general PTC have the lowest number of graduates of 15 and 16 respectively. Meanwhile, this will be the 25th annual graduation ceremony.
