INDIAN ARMY DONATES DENTAL CHAIR TO MILITARY HOSPITAL
 

The Indian Army has donated dental chair worth M150,000 to the Lesotho Defence Force (LDF) at a handing over ceremony held at Makoanyane military hospital on Friday.

Accepting the donation, the LDF Commander Lieutenant General Makhula Mosakeng thanked the Indian army for their generosity of donating medical equipment that will be used to improve the health services in the hospital.

He promised the Indian Army that the equipment would be used effectively for the benefit of the community.

Lt. General Mosakeng, said the presence of Indian Army in Lesotho has played a major role in helping the LDF not only in medical field, but also in other various fields such as training and on administrative issues.

Speaking at the same occasion, the Commander of Indian Army and LDF Security Advisor Brigadier Jasbir Singh said the donation is meant to strengthen basic health services in the hospital particularly oral health.

He said, the hospital has just received x-ray machine and added that an ultra sound machine is in the pipeline. “Our objective is to ensure Makoanyane hospital is able to provide quality health services to all its patients,” he added.

Participants at the occasion were senior members of Indian Army and LDF staff from Makoanyane and Ratjomose barracks. The ceremony was entertained by the LDF brass band. The dental chair donation comprises a compressor and lighting unit.
