The High Court conducted an inspection in logo on Friday of a former Deputy
Prime Minister's house, the late Selometsi Baholo that was full of holes
suspected to be of bullets at Ha Abia in Maseru.
During the inspection, a second crown witness Motsoasele Mosebo, showed the
court his house where he was sleeping on that day of an alleged murder.
Mosebo alleged that a huge sound of a gun awoke him, adding that he thought it
was his neighbour shooting his dogs. He pointed out that a couple of minutes
later, he went outside with an intention of going to draw water from a
public water tap, and saw two armed soldiers who were dressed in uniform,
near a kitchen window of Mr. Baholo.
Mosebo stated that when he approached a public tap, the deceased who was
peeping through a window of the kitchen asking for assistance from him
(witness), as soldiers were attacking him." I did not respond as I was
very scared of the soldiers, some of them were below the deceased's
house," he said. He indicated that outside the deceased's yard, there
were two big guns that were mounted on tripod stands. He said neighbours who
were looking at the house of the deceased from a distance, told him
(witness), to run away.
He said he drew water and returned back to his house, and only went to the
house of the deceased at 4. 30 in the afternoon of the same day, where he
saw a pool of blood in the kitchen. The witness explained that he had just
seen the deceased's body being taken away to a place he did not know.
