Cabinet Meeting  -  Tuesday, 21 May, 2002 under “Memoranda”: 

1.        GOVERNMENT OF LESOTHO  (GOL)  AND CHRISTIAN HEALTH ASSOCIATION OF LESOTHO (CHAL) PARTNERSHIP  

Re-submitted Memorandum C3(2001/5)213 by the Minister of Health and Social Welfare.

Cabinet approved: 

(a)       Allocation of financial resources towards the implementation of a three-year Interim Service Provision and Financing Agreement between the Government of Lesotho and the Christian Health Association of Lesotho beginning 2002/03 fiscal year; 

(b)       Calculation of the Supplementary Emergency Financing Facility (SEFF) for each of the three years, applying the formula in the Agreement;  

(c)        The provision of M12,022,535 in addition to the budgeted M18,000,000 for subvention to CHAL for the year 2002/2003; 

(d)       Signing of the Agreement governing the provision of the financial resources; 

(e)               Submission of staff complement reports quarterly. 

2.         ACCEPTANCE OF MR. JON D. BECH AS AMBASSADOR OF THE KINGDOM OF NORWAY TO THE KINGDOM OF LESOTHO 

Memorandum C3(2002/5)95 by the Minister of Foreign Affairs. 

            Cabinet approved: 

-           the accreditation of Mr. Jon D. Bech as the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Norway to the Kingdom of Lesotho.
