1.          REMOVAL OF ILLEGAL ALIENS FROM LESOTHO

 

Joint Memorandum C3(2002/5)60 by the Ministers of Foreign Affairs, of Industry, Trade & Marketing, of Home Affairs, of Education and of Employment & Labour.

 

Cabinet approved:

 

(a)             that, no citizens of Nigeria, China, India and Pakistan should be allowed entry into Lesotho unless they hold valid Visas from Embassies of Lesotho nearest their respective countries of origin;

 

(b)              that, the practice of issuing 72 hours visas at all ports of entry into Lesotho for the citizens of Nigeria, China, India and Pakistan who have come to Lesotho on invitation by institutions and industrial firms be discontinued except only at Moshoeshoe I International Airport;

 

(c)              that, all citizens of Nigeria, China, India and Pakistan, who are in Lesotho for business or other purposes that do not qualify as genuine foreign investment, be rounded up and removed from the country.
