EXAMS COUNCIL ORGANISES COSC INVIGILATOR'S TRAINING WORKSHOPS

The Examinations Council of Lesotho (ECOL) has organised a four-day training workshop for Cambridge Overseas School Certificates (COSC) Chief Invigilators in all the ten districts starting on October 10 to 14. In an interview, the Registrar of ECOL, Mrs. Ntsiuoa Ralise told Lesotho News Agency (LENA) that the workshop will be held at the Education Offices in all the ten districts. She showed that the main purpose of this workshop is to equip all the Invigilators with all the necessary skills of good invigilation in an examination.

She pointed out that among other things, the close to 250 participants would be trained on proper handling of the Examinations equipment, such as the packages of the question papers, how to keep them to ensure maximum security, and how and when to open such packages. The COSC examinations are expected to start some time during the third week of October while Junior Certificate (JC) Examinations will kick off  on October 9 and Standard 7 examinations will start on October 20.
