The Christian Council of Lesotho (CCL) has organised a thanks giving mass prayer to be held at Lesotho National Convention Centre on Sunday 14 July, 2002.

The CCL General Secretary, Mrs  ‘Masebolelo Ramokhele, said the objective is to thank God for answering the Basotho prayer of having peaceful general election.

“Prior to election CCL united the community to pray for peaceful general election, and therefore it is necessary to give thanks to God for answering our prayers.” She added.

Mrs Ramokhele, said thanks giving mass prayer will also be held in different districts on the same Sunday. She therefore, appealed to CCL regional committees to hold mass prayer in their respective areas.

CCL calls upon community, chiefs, members of parliament, political leaders and youths to join in the prayers.

The Christian Council of Lesotho is a religious non-governmental organization, whose aim is to foster cooperation among members’ churches and organisations as well as to assist financially for development of the poorest communities in the country.
