BIBLE SOCIETY OF LESOTHO (BSL) ADOPTS NEW METHOD OF PREACHING BIBLE

The Bible Society of Lesotho will launch its new Project of Bible Preaching, which is known as, "Faith Comes By Hearing" between December 2002 and January next year.
In an interview with LENA, the Public Relations Officer of the Bible Society of Lesotho, Mr. Potjo Potjo showed that this project is about a new method of preaching the Holy Bible to people by dramatising its different episodes for better understanding of the word of God.

He said research has revealed that most people especially young people have a problem of reading the Bible, and sometimes because of lack of interest while others do not read it because they are not able to buy their own. He said the Bible Society therefore adopted this new method of presenting the Bible to people in a form of drama so that people could get the word of God without necessarily having to read the Bible.

This Project of "Faith Comes By Hearing" has been put to test in countries such as Nigeria and Ghana and was proved to be a very efficient method of teaching people about the Bible. Lesotho will be the third country in the whole world to utilise this new
method of preaching and the first country in the Southern African region. This Project is supported by the International Bible Societies, organisations such as Scripture Union and Africa England Mission.
